George Romero's Aftermath, a survival horror MMO, has now entered its open beta phase of development. Players can check out the game on the official site or via Steam.
Developers describe Aftermath as an "expansive open world" with multiple biomes and fully explorable towns. Players will face off against zombies and compete against others trying to survive in an unforgiving world. Skills include purification of water, growing food and creating medical supplies.
Aftermath is free to play and "free to win". The item store contains cosmetic skins, customizations and boosts that accelerate skill acquisition, but not enhance it.
