Black Desert Online held its first 300v300 battle this past weekend in the first War of the Roses pre-season matchup, featuring guilds and individuals on each side across territories. Pearl Abyss continues adding more content, including the new, a more accessible 15v15 Guild League PvP mode. Meanwhile, Black Desert Mobile gets a brand new region and Succession Skills update.
When it comes to massive PvP, a 300v300 clash is certainly an option many would look forward to. After announcing the mode, requesting interested guilds apply to be the leaders in the first run, and for individuals and smaller guilds to be assigned to one of the two sides at random, the first event is now behind us. The pre-season event counted participants from North American and European guilds, along with individual players in each region.
In the North American run, the winning side was Kamasylvia and in Europe, O’dyllita. In both regions, the War of the Roses went a little differently. On the North American side, victory was a little more decisive and consistent, where in Europe, it was a tighter battle. Teamwork was key on all sides, with the mode featuring a top down tactical map, new siege vessels, and NPc bosses to take down. Victory comes when your side is able to defeat the NPC commander on the opponent’s side, but only after they are able to siege the other side’s castle and get inside.
They will bring back the 300 V 300 battle again, with community feedback taken into account, but in the meantime, enter Guild League, with 15v15 PvP battles. This is a new mode that lets guilds sign up to participate, get matched against other guilds and then get in to battle it out for glory.
Black Desert Mobile also got a big update, with the new Land of the Sherekhan region now out for those with CP between 43,000-60,000. There's a call up board where you can accept missions located in every town in the region, and you can learn to explore the region and obtain different knowledge types. You can accept quests around main monster zones, and more in your time there.
This new region introduces Succession Skills (Pearl Abyss has a full playlist showing them all off), which you can start acquiring after completing a new quest. These skills are available for every class, offering one of two skills (you get to choose) which offer a new way to play that class.
