The Activision-Blizzard earnings report for Q4 2016 that contains some record earnings for the gaming giant. A-B generated operating cash flow of $2.01 billion, up over 40% over Q4 2015 ($1.35B). GAAP earnings per share went up 57% in the same time period. Activision-Blizzard earned $6.61B over the entirety of 2016, up 42% from 2015.
As a result of such positive numbers, Activision-Blizzard stock rose slightly after the conclusion of the earnings report session.
According to the report, almost 450M players take part in the company's stable of games with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as the big winner and Blizzard games bringing in 41M active users each month. Overwatch has 25M players; World of Warcraft grew its population by 10% after the launch of Legion; and Hearthstone saw monthly users go up 20%.
Lastly, Destiny 2 is on the way, "Full Destiny sequel in 2017 to broaden the franchise's global reach, which along with follow-on content plans, sets the stage for growth".
