Last Epoch, developed by Eleventh Hour Games, is set to launch its much-anticipated version 1.0 on February 21st, 2024. This announcement comes after a remarkable journey that began with a dream of uniting ARPG enthusiasts through a lengthy stint in Early Access on Steam. Eleventh Hour games successfully funded their Kickstarter campaign in May of 2018 with an initial target date of April of 2020. The game was delayed and has come a long way since then.

The 1.0 launch promises to set a new standard in terms of quality, polish and an exceptional gameplay experience. Despite Eleventh Hour Games noting the finish line is clearly in view, the journey doesn't end at the announcement of the 1.0 release. Eleventh Hour Games has plans to release substantial new content ahead of the release as depicted in their latest roadmap. In January, players will see the new Warlock master class hit the scene, followed by the Falconer master class in early February. The team also has an aggressive update plan where Last Epoch will release content in intervals known as "Cycles." These updates will encompass a range of enhancements, including end-game content, skills, unique items, gameplay systems, and quality-of-life features.

While the February release is (much) later than initially planned, the decision for a February release in 2024 was reportedly made to avoid clashing with other major studio releases in December. This delay also worked out for the best according to Game Director Judd Cobler, as it will allow the team to polish new systems, fix bugs, and allows the developers to get a holiday break before launch.

Recently, Last Epoch released the Runemaster Mastery Class for the Mage which the team touted as the most adaptable and versatile class in any ARPG, ever. The team is nothing if not passionate about their views on this ARPG that Eleventh Hour Games believes can not only stand head-to-head with some of the most popular games in the genre but can surpass them. For more information or to preorder the game, you can head on over to Steam where the game has now garnered over 21 thousand reviews and sports a very positive review score reputation.
