Magic Hat Software has announced they have changed their testing policy to accept testers who are under the age of eighteen.
The standard policy for game testing is the exclusion of minors from testing. This is because one of the requirements for testing is the signing of a Non Disclosure Agreement. It is a problem for minors, since NDAs are legally-binding agreements - minors can not sign to agreements which are legally-binding by law.
A compromise has been made by allowing a minor's parent or legal guardian to take responsibility. After signing the NDA the parent/guardian will need to send the NDA via fax or post ("snail mail").
Please note this compromise will not work for other games with NDAs unless their policy supports it.
