Tuque Games has a new announcement that indicates it is now working on a licensed Dungeons & Dragons game. While that is literally the only information about the game itself that is offered, the jobs listings reveal a few tidbits that may indicate an RPG / cRPG is in the works.
In the description for the Narrative Designer job, a couple things caught my eye:
- The narrative designer reports to the lead narrative designer and will be tasked with designing and integrating various narrative elements of our game with an emphasis on a branching conversation system.
- Propose narrative structure of quests, write cinematics, branching conversations, in-game barks and banter
- Compose character bios, write lore for objects, locations, and assist the lead narrative designer in all matters related to writing and narrative.
- Demonstrate an ability to create an emotional response in characters and players within the context game narrative.
