Throne and Liberty's big Wilds of Talandre expansion is out on Thursday. The Amazon Games team has been sharing info, but now there’s a deep dive with a ton of details on the update.
In the video, Tico and Godspeed introduce Talandre, the third territory in Solisium. It is a big map, nearly doubling the existing territory and has six zones to explore. Each of the zones will have its own story content, and there will be new creatures, bosses, and more to discover. There are also hints that we’ll find out more about what happened to characters like Clay, tying some content together.
Talandre will feature three Abyss dungeons, including one with four floors, Crimson Mansion, which is one of the biggest and another dungeon with six floors. Two of the dungeons will come out at the same time, offering challenges and perhaps a less busier way to farm straight off.
Arc bosses are larger than life with impressive visuals, spawning places you'll need to get into, survive any players trying to stop you from getting in, and finally, have to face the bosses tactically, with strategic use of the terrain. There’s a chance you can summon their weapons too. One of them was shown, and this purple sword is called the War Blade of Creeping Doom, from the Giant Cordy fight.
Tier 2 gear is arriving. Your starter set is from the Adventure Codex, but you'll want to get the best you can to face the new content. To help new and returning players is the blue tier, an in-between tier between T1 purple and T2.
If you can't tell by now, this update will be packed.
Weapon Mastery is getting an overhaul into a new quadrant-based system with weapons having 200 levels and milestone unlocks along the way. A new Artifact system will also let you customize your build and bonuses.
Nebula Island is another new location, and it's mostly a 24/7 PVP hunting ground. One section will not have always-on PvP, So those who are mostly PVE players can still go there to farm artifacts and items. There are items and bosses you'll only find there.
Five three-star dungeons are coming, with three in the first week. These dungeons are poiised to be more accessible and balance the difficulty curve. We're also getting solo dungeons that will let people just hop in to play by themselves or practice mechanics before they move up to something more difficult. You can get T2 weapons and Artifacts in solo dungeons too. Eight all-new bosses will rotate, with four in March and four planned for April.
The full video goes into even more detail, and the update will be live on March 6th.
