If you remember the world before cell phones and high-speed internet, you may remember an RPG series called Langrisser. If so, today's news that a new Langrisser mobile game is being developed may come as a welcome surprise. Langrisser Mobile is being developed by Zlongame and "retains the classic turn-based strategic gameplay of the original series".
Langrisser Mobile retains the classic turn-based strategic gameplay of the original series, with class suppression, terrain effects, and unique class trees for a customizable battle experience. Featuring more than 300 classic levels, an unforgettable score by original series composer Noriyuki Iwadare, and all of the heroes from the main series, Langrisserfans, new and old alike, can experience the epic showdown between light and dark with other players around the world in real-time.
Developed by Japan's Masaya Games, the Langrisserseries debuted in 1991 and has long been regarded as one of the two titans of tactical turn-based combat, along with Nintendo's Fire Emblem series.
