Crimson Desert’s first action-packed gameplay reveal is here, as Gamescom 2024 is set to begin. The new video features the White Horn boss battle, one of the major boss fights you can expect in Pearl Abyss’s upcoming open-world action RPG.

The video features Kliff, as announced, and uses in-game footage and gameplay that is taken directly from the Gamescom 2024 demo build. There will be a demo at the booth if you are attending the show in Germany, But for those of us not in attendance, here's an opportunity to see what the devs have been talking about when they  mentioned boss battles, the need to prepare and blend the weapons and skills you have to handle battle your way.

White Horn is the spirit of the mountain, as a panicked enemy states before running off. It looks almost like a yeti with moose horns, but you know, white ones. The creature wastes no time bursting upon the scene and it takes Kliff a little time to get his bearings, but once he does, we see him launch into action.

Well, after dodging first. The creature is set on pounding the ground and charging and is giving you time in between to react. This shows off the way you can react, keeping an eye on the boss's timings in order to determine how you want to fight back. Not only is Kliff  slicing with his sword, using strategic dodging, but at some point he also climbs on the monster’s back. Pearl Abyss emphasizes flexibility in Crimson Desert, and presumably,  there will be a few ways to handle a creature.

The seven-minute video features the rest of the battle and you can watch to see how it turns out. Those at Gamescom who get a chance to play the demo, will have an opportunity to pick one of four bosses to face. Clearly, White Horn  will be one of those choices. As for the rest, those are still to be revealed.
