60 to 70 Leveling Path to Become Less Grindy

A short post has been published on the Neverwinter site that should be encouraging to those in the level 60-70 range. In it, the team acknowledges that the leveling experience in this range is too "grindy" as compared to the experience of 1-60. As a result, several key changes will be implemented soon.

  • Elemental Evil Campaign – In our first retroactive campaign, we wanted to help players track their progress and see what rewards they would get. This means an all-new gear set meant for leveling in the Elemental Evil zones.
  • Elemental Evil Quests – We changed the format and story in how each quest was presented, along with improved cutscenes. This directed approach to quests also means no more repeatable quests to progress the story; once you get a quest to kill Glark the Rancid, that will be the last time you receive that quest.
  • Vigilance Quests - All vigilance quests and vigilance wrapper quests will be automatically dropped from players when this update goes live. This update also marks the end of vigilance quests. That's it! Bye bye, no more vigilance quests. The only repeatable quests that exist in the zones are unlocked when a player completes all four zones.

In addition to this news, Cryptic and PWE announced that The Maze Engine has launches on May 3rd for XBox One.
