Bad Guitar Studio has announced that the closed Alpha Test for the upcoming action FPS FragPunk is set to begin this month.
The devs released an announcement stating that the FragPunk closed Alpha will begin on June 27th, and during the test, we will be able to get a look at 10 heroes, 15 weapons, 4 maps, and 70 cards. There are two ways to sign up to hopefully gain access to the closed test, one is by logging into Steam and simply selecting the “Request Access” button on the Fragpunk game page. The other is to complete an application on the title's official website by giving the devs an email and region.
Currently, the test will only be available on Steam, but Bad Guitar Games mentions that future tests will be announced later on down the line. This is not a finished product, as most understand, meaning that this is an early version of FragPunk and some features may not be fully implemented yet.
There is however plenty of content to get familiar with before launch, including 70 Shard Cards that allow us to bend the rules as we please. The test is set to end on July 1st, so the entirety of the test will run for five days. Only those who reside in the USA or Canada will have access to the Alpha Test this time around, and there will be very limited servers available in order to make matchmaking more smooth.
At the time of writing, there is no set release date for FragPunk, but getting into the Alpha stage could very well be a good sign for the 2025 release window.
