Shiro Games and Funcom’s 4X genre-blending strategy title Dune: Spice Wars is heading to Xbox later this month.
Set on the planet Arrakis from Frank Herbert’s iconic series, the struggle for spice, political power, and survival will soon be available on Xbox series X|S . Most recently released on PC after a year in Early Access, where the team added six major updates, increased the number of factions to six, added new features, multiplayer, quality of life changes, and a number of other features including a campaign mode.
Xbox owners will be able to jump in and play on November 28th. Choose from six factions –Atreides, Harkkonen, the Fremen, Corrino, the Smugglers, and Ecaz–learn their strengths and weaknesses, specialty units, and other advantages and plot out your journey. The devs decided to blend real time strategy with 4X games with other elements for depth and Dune flavor.
Not only will you have to build, use the resources you can get your hands on, engage in politics in the Landsraad, but also manage the economy, working to dominate the spice trade. Your fighters may be visible, but your spies might be the most powerful tools you have. After all, the game is called Dune: Spice Wars.
You can play solo or with friends, in the campaign style mode and in multiplayer. Will you manage to dominate? Soon, you can give it a shot on Xbox.
