18th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards Recognize RPGs in a Big Way

Last night's D.I.C.E. Awards were handed out with Bioware's Dragon Age: Inquisition taking home both the Game of the Year and Best Roleplaying/MMO awards despite stiff and overwhelming competition from Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Mordor cleaned up eight awards but was beaten out by DAI for GotY in the end.

Other award winners included

  • Shadow of Mordor scored best Adventure Game, Game Direction, Game Design, Story, Innovation, Character, Animation and Technical awards
  • Destiny as Best Action Game, Sound/Music and an Outstanding Achievement Award for Online play.
  • Hearthstone wrapped up best Strategy/Simulation and Mobile Game awards.

The D.I.C.E. Awards are peer recognition and are voted on by members of the gaming industry.
