Steam Early Access Begins After Two Years of Development
The New Dawn team has sent word that the game has landed on Steam Early Access after two years in development. The game is, according to the newsletter, in its "pre-beta stage" with many game mechanics considered to be complete and that there is "a solid base in programming" that allows new content to be added quickly.
The latest stable client is a work in progress and "many core mechanics and features are present and polished" but that players need to remember that "a Steam Early Access game is not completely finished, polished or fully optimized".
According to the Steam Community Hub, the Early Access period should be complete by 2020.
