The Neverwinter site was updated this week with two developer blogs that give information about a pair of new features that are headed into the game in the future update.
First of is the introduction of the Combat League that is to bring seasonal play, ranks and unique rewards to Neverwinter's PvP.
Along with the rankings bonuses, Combat Tokens will also drop during PvP matches meaning that those who continue to play PvP can collect more Tokens as they rank up. As the seasons progress, we will refresh the rewards available and reset the rankings to give players opportunities to reach the top of the leaderboards.
Another feature detailed this week is Strongholds, essentially, guild housing (with a purpose!). Guild members take part in contributing materials to the guild coffer and building structures that can provide powerful boons and improve guild lands.
Our main goal with Strongholds was to provide a more interesting experience for players in guilds. We want to provide challenges and tasks that the guild as a whole could tackle.
