The Neos Land site has been updated with another extensive developer post, this time exploring the vision for skills and combat. The post talks about developers keeping tabs on a cadre of pre-alpha players over the past weekend as they tested out the new systems. The next targeted testing event will be held on December 17th.
The latest developer blog on Neos Land has been published that lays out the first information about the crafting system that will be found in the game. Every item will require essence to craft, a reagent found by killing monsters, and will have three major components that can drastically alter the stats of items.
The Neos Land team has a new development diary that explains how mounts will work in the game. In an interesting take on a typical mount system, players will be crafting rideable creatures by obtaining its 'essence' after defeating it. From there, players bind the spirit to a saddle that then creates a spirit-form version.
A brand new Neo's Land developer diary has been posted to YouTube that shows off tons of in-game footage built using the Unity engine and Voxel technology. The video goes into detail about the many features Neo's Land will give to players including the ability to explore a nearly limitless world, world-editing abilities, interfaces to create and much more.
