The Mavericks site has been updated with a notice to let the community know about The Forge, an upcoming "first version of an ever-evolving game".The Forge will launch on November 29th to a limited number of players. If invited, players will be able to help developers test "key areas of design and shaping the future of the game". This is not beta testing and, in fact, sounds more like a closed alpha.
During The Forge, up to 1000 concurrent players will be taking part in epic free-for-all mode by default that allows developers to assess "test constant scale". Battle Royale may be added at a later point.
WILL I BE ABLE TO STREAM THE GAME DURING THE FORGE?
Initially, no. Founders have a Non-Disclosure Agreement [NDA] which includes no streaming of the game currently. As we evolve and develop the game, we will look at this and will allow the community to share and stream content.
