In a quick Twitter post, Bioware's Fernando Melo has revealed a new Mass Effect Andromeda screenshot showing a Mission interface and loot box. According to Melo, missions are completed cooperatively and tie both single- and multi-player activities together. Completing the mission will yield loot boxes as well.
On the 5th day of MP-mas, the MP dev team gave to you: a new feature in MEA - Missions. Your link between MP/SP. Play & get rewards in both.
It appears that as players work through the single-player campaign, missions will crop up that can be completed cooperatively with friends or through random match making.
For instance, in the screen show, players will be given a number of objectives that need to be completed in order to score a win for the activity. In addition, modifiers will be added to give bonuses to attack.
The reward for completing a mission successfully in this example include 10% experience, 10% credits, 10 "mission funds" and a pair of loot boxes -- Gold Item and Research Data.
