EA Says 'Year-on Year Growth was Driven by MEA' -

In today's EA investor's call, CFO Blake Jorgensen mentioned Mass Effect: Andromeda as a driving force in the company's year-on-year growth. EA generated $113M more than the same time period last year. Net sales rose 32% over last year as well.

Jorgensen mentioned MEA three times in his prepared statements:

"Year-on-year growth was driven by the Mass Effect: Andromeda sales, captured in the quarter and by FIFA."

"Digital net sales were $681M, a new record for the first quarter and up $113M on the year-ago period. The increase reflects strength in live services, together with our mobile business. In addition, Mass Effect: Andromeda was a significant contributor"

"Full game PC and console downloads generated net sales of $111M, 32% higher than last year. This was driven by Mass Effect: Andromeda sales captured in the quarter."

While good to hear, EA did not answer the burning questions posed by many players recently, namely whether or not any DLC for MEA would be released or if the series would continue at all
