A New Patch Coming Thursday, Future to Address Most Concerns -

The BioWare site has been updated with a lengthy post from General Manager Aaryn Flynn regarding both a Mass Effect Andromeda patch to be released on Thursday, April 6th as well as future patch plans for the forthcoming two months. Flynn begins the discussion by thanking the community for its participation in Andromeda and the feedback that has led to a number of the changes coming to the game.

The Thursday patch (v1.05) will bring several key improvements to the game including improved facial animations, the ability to skip ahead when traveling between planets or systems, a larger inventory, improvements to multiplayer, improvements to human and Asari eyes, improved lip synch for localized VO, balance changes, and "improved logic, timing, and continuity for relationships and story arcs".

The team also has an ambitious two months ahead of it that will bring even more significant changes to MEA. These include:

  • more options and variety for character creator
  • general improvements to hair and appearances
  • improvements to cinematics and animations
  • improvements to the male romance options for Scott Ryder
  • changes to the conversation with Hainly Abrams

These upcoming patches will also address performance and stability issues. And we’re looking at adding more cosmetic items to single player for free.

For multiplayer, over the same timeframe, we’re going to continue to build on the APEX missions that have been running since launch. We’ll be adding new maps, characters, and weapons. On Thursday, we kick off the first of three new chapters centered around The Remnant Investigation.

You can read Flynn's full letter on the Mass Effect Andromeda site.
