According to a new survey by Nexon, gamers in the 18-29 age bracket are flocking to online games, including Nexon's MapleStory. The survey also indicates that female gamers in this age group make up 40% of the online community.

Nexon America's beloved massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) MapleStory has surpassed eight years of service in North America and is hosting a number of events for its loyal players, 21 percent of whom have played MapleStory for at least half of the game's lifespan in North America.

Nexon has released a new trailer to support the MapleStory update called "Mark of Honor" and the release of the new hero, Kanna. Kanna utilizes the power of the spirit world to lay waste to her opponents. Check it out then log into the game to see how Kanna operates!

The Marriage System in MapleStory is one of the more popular features of Nexon's side scrolling MMO. It's no easy process either. Requiring a special quest for an engagement ring, the acceptance of a partner, the sending of invitations, setting a date and more, the process is nearly a mirror of real world marriages...except for the 3-second divorce that set a record!

MapleStory players have gifted one another over two million dollars worth of virtual items in the past year, according to a press release from Nexon. Items given were purchased from the item shop and given to other players. As of November, over 800,000 of these items had been purchased and gifted.

MapleStory players will have another character to check out with the arrival of "Luminous", a character that wields both Light and Dark magic. According to lore, Luminous is the only one who was successfully able to seal away the Black Mage, though not completely unscathed.

Nexon has announced that over 200,000 MapleStory players participated in special quests to help donate $10,000 to help support water efforts in Rwanda. Players carried tanks of water for thirty in-game minutes to support the cause.

MapleStory players have a lot of fun Halloween activities to participate in with the arrival of the Masquerade update. According to the dev team, Masquerade brings a haunted house and slathering zombies into the game.

Nexon has announced that the latest MapleStory update, Champion, is now live on all servers. The Champion update brings revamped Warrior, Magician, Bowman, and Legends characters into the game as well as the Battle Arena.

In a news story that's bound to open up a HUGE can of worms, the MapleStory team is announcing the results from its first ever presidential poll called Great Maple Election Quest 2012. Of the respondents to the poll, 80% favor the current president over his challenger in this year's United States presidential election.

Nexon and the MapleStory team have released a new game play video featuring Mihile who will become a playable character when the "New Dawn" update goes into effect on September 5th. Mihile uses one-handed swords and has a special shield called the Soul Shield, which grows with him. It can gain experience and level up, and it is also automatically upgraded at each job advancement.

Nexon has announced that MapleStory is now available on Steam. In its initial run, MapleStory will be available in the US, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

The final portion of the summer update is now live on MapleStory servers. Called "Fight for Azwan", the update charges players with retaining Azwan from the Undead Army of Hilla. Additionally, four difficulty modes are added to give players the challenge they prefer. See what you think!

Nexon is ready to reveal more information about the next character set to hit MapleStory. "Players waiting for the upcoming release of MapleStory's gun-wielding space bounty hunter, Jett, will enjoy the newest Renegades update teaser trailer released today. For the very first time, players will get to see what Jett looks like and preview gameplay as the space bounty hunter in the third Jett trailer.

Nexon has announced that the final piece of the Alliance Update to MapleStory has been deployed that balances all classes and skills in the game. More specifically, Cygnus Knights and Explorers, including Warriors, Magicians, and Bowmen have been shown the love.
