Magic: Legends Overview

Magic: Legends is an all-new MMO Action RPG where you become a Planeswalker, a powerful entity with the ability to travel between different universes or ‘planes’. Ancient forces move in the darkness and it’s up to you to walk the planes of the Magic Multiverse to gather the power needed to fight this evil. Choose your path through the diverse planes, collect unique spells, Artifacts, and Equipment to create powerful loadouts, and control the chaos of battle as you fight to save the Multiverse from its greatest threat yet.

Magic: Legends launched in an Open Beta on March 23, 2021 for PC. There are console versions in the works for both Xbox and Playstation, which is currently slated to launch on their respective platforms later this year.

PLANESWALKER CLASSES

There are currently six Planeswalker classes to choose from in Magic: Legends, although only five are available from the start. Each class offers a different style of gameplay and has its own unique perks, abilities, and traits that it can utilize. These five starting classes correlate to a specific mana color: Necromancer for black, Mind Mage for blue, Geomancer for red, Beastcaller for green, and Sanctifier for white. The sixth class, the Dimir Assassin, is a mix of black and blue and can be unlocked after reaching level 50 in the Battlepass.

The Geomancer draws upon the power of the earth to pummel enemies in close quarters. Fearlessly enter the fray using stone and lava melee attacks, advancing into battle with goblins, kavu, and earth elementals at your side.

The Mind Mage personifies cool intellect utilizing psychic powers. Battle enemies from a safe distance - controlling projectiles with telekinesis, locking down dangerous foes with spells that put them to sleep, or turn them against their allies.

The Beastcaller is the embodiment of primal might and savagery. Vanquish hordes of foes on the battlefield with crushing blows from your massive spirit axe, while coordinating your attacks with an Aether Fox companion - and other summoned beasts.

The Sanctifier is equally adept at smiting foes with searing bolts of light as they are with mending the wounds of fallen comrades. Summon forth angels, paladins and those dedicated to a noble cause to protect you in battle, while you lay waste to your enemies with righteous light.

The Necromancer uses deathly rituals to devastate enemies and raise undead hordes for their own purposes. Utilize your unique connection with death to tear the life from the living and sap your enemies’ strength with terrible curses.

The Dimir Assassin epitomizes Ravnica's House Dimir, adept in planning and executing devastating combo attacks. Fight on your own terms, controlling engagements before exploiting enemies’ weaknesses to deadly effect.

REGIONS AND PLANES

There are currently six regions across four different planes to discover and explore in Magic: Legends including the Meditation Realm, an ever-changing plane of mysterious origin and countless secrets that serves an unknown master.

Shiv is a volcanic island on the plane of Dominaria inhabited by Ghitu tribes, goblins, ogres, and dragons. Benalia is a church-state city on the plane of Dominaria, where rolling plains meet dark swamps. The Benalish people are at war with the Cabal fanatics and their demons. Tazeem is a jungle continent on the plane of Zendikar, featuring mystical Hedron stones, massive trees, and lush rivers – inhabited by Merfolk, elves, and a host of wild creatures. Tolaria is a tropical academy on the plane of Dominaria – teeming with aspiring wizards, Homarid beasts, and artifact constructs. Gavony is a province on the plane of Innistrad, where the settlements and townsfolk are constantly under attack by the likes of werewolves and undead.
