MMORPG: Give us a background on Maestia, how did the game come about?

Cho Eun Sang: Our initial goal was to provide all of the benefits MMORPG game can provide and set out to create a special skill system that was unseen before. We’ve also tried to put a lot of emphasis on aspects such as PvP and PvE to promote community aspect of the game. Our Maestone system is also something that is unique to our game as well.

MMORPG: How have players reacted to the game, what are some of the things that stand out to you?

Cho Eun Sang: The most stand out feature should be our Maestone system as well as the Mercenary system. We also think the day & night time map variation with PvP & PvE system combined will be interesting for players of all types.

MMORPG: Tell us about the classes in the game?

Cho Eun Sang: There are total of 4 classes for Maestia. A warrior class which is for melee combat and a tank, a Ranger class which specializes in range attacks, a Wizard class for using elemental magic attacks and a Priest class which is your main healer.

MMORPG: How can players customize their classes?

Cho Eun Sang: Players can customize their characters with stats which allows them to have abilities that are outside of their main job skill. They can further widen their skill range by leveling up which allows them to assign points to attributes as well.

MMORPG: How can players get involved in the epic PvP battles?

Cho Eun Sang: Maestia is generally separated by day & night time zones. You can enter the night time zones through an altar. You can then participate in PvP with the opposing faction. We also have a small sized battle arenas and RvR so there is something for everyone in Maestia.

MMORPG: The mercenary system is very cool! Can you explain it to our readers?

Cho Eun Sang: The mercenary system allows the player to call for help if they encounter difficult challenges during dungeon play or hunting monsters. You can also register your character as a mercenary when you are not playing so it’ll continue to accrue experience points.

MMORPG: What plans do you have for Maestia in 2012?

Cho Eun Sang: We are always looking to improve the game. There are high level contents in development. We’ve recently added raid contents to our European version and have other plans lined up throughout the year. Please stay tuned!
