Lost Ark

Earlier this week, we found that the FAQ for the Russian version of Lost Ark seemed to indicate that the game would not be region-locked when it launched. However, the FAQ has since been updated with a somewhat ambiguous statement that "the localizer reserves the right to impose regional restrictions on the basis of an agreement with the developer". Mail.ru further said that it has the right to publish Lost Ark to Russian-speaking nations in the CiS region.

The Russian Lost Ark page has a new FAQ that provides an interesting note for those dying to get into the game. With no word on when the game may be released in North America, it may be a chance to get involved with the game until then. Mail.ru Group's new FAQ says that the game will not be region-locked. Players will only need to install the Lost Ark client when it is ready for testing.

YouTuber Izkimar has posted a Lost Ark video rebroadcast of a ranked 3v3 fight featuring his Summoner (and two teammates) facing off against a triple melee comp. The other team consisted of two Infighters and a Battle Master. Izkimar provides in-depth analysis of the fight over the course of the 16-minute battle. It's an interesting look at how a caster can survive against melee in Lost Ark PvP.

MMOCulture is reporting that Lost Ark developer Smilegate has inked a Russian publishing deal with Mail.ru. The megacompany is Russia's largest gaming and internet platform that also has an English-based subsidiary in My.com. There are no other details yet known, but the move is a good sign for North American and European fans of Lost Ark that the game may finally be making its way west.

Lost Ark is currently in open beta in South Korea and western players have been finding a way in to get a look at a game that many fans of MMOARPGs would love to see come westward.

YouTuber SandouTV has posted a sweet new video from the ongoing South Korean open beta of Lost Ark. In this one, a group of intrepid adventurers takes on the "cinematic" maze dungeon in hard mode. There's tons of gameplay action, along with a look at ability bars, inventory and much more.

A new video has been posted by YouTuber Izkimar that showcases both the Hawkeye and "Scuffed" Summoner classes taking part in PvP arena matches. In the first part, the Hawkeye dominates a team of three, not simultaneously, but over the course of three 1v1 battles. IN the second, the Scuffed Summoner takes on a team of three and wins as well!

In yet another brand new Lost Ark Korean open beta gameplay video, YouTuber "end1e" shows off the Devil Hunter in action in a story scenario at level 33. "The Devil Hunter is one hell of a gun-slinger. He makes use of three different stances."

YouTuber "KineticGTR" has taken to the airwaves to show off his experience in the hard mode "mecha raid" called The Heart of Krater. He calls it his favorite dungeon so far and "it's unlike anything else with its crazy futuristic design". It's a wild and unexpected video featuring some pretty unique gameplay with three bards and a berserker taking on the content. You won't want to miss it!

One of the things that our readers are hungry for when it comes to Lost Ark -- besides a Western release date, that is -- is more information about the classes and how they play. Today's serving of Korean open beta class goodness features the Bard class. YouTuber "Laura Hime" has a nice 12+ minutes of gameplay action to soothe the need to know MORE!

There's tons of nifty tidbits of news floating around about Lost Ark that is currently sitting in open beta in Korea. The game seems to be taking hold in Korea as the concurrent user number has soared over the 350,000 mark according to KR news site, Joins.com which also reports that queue issues persist, though Smilegate has plans to continue adding new servers as time goes on.
