Turns Out Russia's Version of Lost Ark Will Probably be Region Locked After All

Earlier this week, we found that the FAQ for the Russian version of Lost Ark seemed to indicate that the game would not be region-locked when it launched. However, the FAQ has since been updated with a somewhat ambiguous statement that "the localizer reserves the right to impose regional restrictions on the basis of an agreement with the developer". Mail.ru further said that it has the right to publish Lost Ark to Russian-speaking nations in the CiS region.


Russia's Version of Lost Ark Will Not be Region-Locked According to Mail.ru

The Russian Lost Ark page has a new FAQ that provides an interesting note for those dying to get into the game. With no word on when the game may be released in North America, it may be a chance to get involved with the game until then. Mail.ru Group's new FAQ says that the game will not be region-locked. Players will only need to install the Lost Ark client when it is ready for testing.


Lost Ark - Summoner & Team vs Triple Melee Comp in 3v3 Match

YouTuber Izkimar has posted a Lost Ark video rebroadcast of a ranked 3v3 fight featuring his Summoner (and two teammates) facing off against a triple melee comp. The other team consisted of two Infighters and a Battle Master. Izkimar provides in-depth analysis of the fight over the course of the 16-minute battle. It's an interesting look at how a caster can survive against melee in Lost Ark PvP.


Lost Ark Beginning Its Westward Journey As Russian Publishing Deal Announced

MMOCulture is reporting that Lost Ark developer Smilegate has inked a Russian publishing deal with Mail.ru. The megacompany is Russia's largest gaming and internet platform that also has an English-based subsidiary in My.com. There are no other details yet known, but the move is a good sign for North American and European fans of Lost Ark that the game may finally be making its way west.
