IRandom writes: This game is nearly dead, and has been this way for the past several years. The graphics are outdated, the performance gets worse with every new patch regardless of your hardware specifications or the quality of your broadband connection, there is no in-game customer support and there's absolutely NOTHING to do in game once you've finished its storyline (which ends in a very disappointed, quick way in this game, because last chapter was created in a very short time by a very few remaining people with very small budget). Most importantly, all of the large in-game cities are basically "ghost towns" at any time of the day due to a very low, constantly decreasing population. Don't waste any of your time on it, it's not worth it anymore. Sun Oct 15 2017 4:53PM
ReallyNow10 writes: Still a playable game after all these years. No where the smoothness and optimization of some games, but very atmospheric. Day/Night cycles, grass blowing in the wind, sounds of nature, you feel like you're in a world in this game. and being free on Steam and online, not bad. Fri Sep 22 2017 5:30AM
Hachlath writes: Journey ends with the last non epic quest. So I made a new char for the journey from 1 to 105 but world channel is full of messages from gold sellers. Too many GS on the game now, since Mordor. Not a lot of players, last ones dreaming about lotro2 (...), time to switch to another MMO. Stopped because of age of lotro, seems old, outdated, low population, too many GS on the chan ,same events since years and years... It's over now.I'm done. Tue Aug 01 2017 1:11PM
Rajai writes: Graphics are alright for an 8 year old game, the sound is buggy and Turbine doesn't fix their bugs, the RP community is makeshift but it exists, this game has low value, even if you sub you have to purchase more stuff ingame in order to enjoy it at all, it's not fun, the quests are all variations of the same "kill 8 orcs" quests you see in every zone, the community is like world of warcraft's, trolls and obnoxious people everywhere, the game lags something fierce and Turbine doesn't have the budget to improve their servers to be anywhere near halfway decent, Turbine's customer service sucks. This game should be around 6/10 with a 9/10 world and bad performance and horrible questing. Thu Jul 21 2016 7:24PM
