The original story is below:
For those of you who have been following The Lord of the Rings Online lately, you know that last month the game experienced some of the worst downtime in its history. Well, based on a tweet from the official Twitter account, LotRO players might be experiencing a bit of déjà vu.
Last month, the game servers were either down or largely unplayable for over a week due to server issues that the team still really hasn't fully explained almost a month later. Today, a tweet from the official Lord of the Rings Online Twitter page looks like those issues might be coming back, though currently the game worlds are remaining open.
Server Instability: Thursday, August 20thThe game worlds are experiencing periods of server instability due to external issues outside of our control. We are taking steps to mitigate these environmental and infrastructure challenges, and apologize for any issues you encounter.

Hopefully this is simply a hiccup and that these issues don't see widespread server outages again. We'll be sure to keep an eye on the situation and update this report should new details arise.
