MMORPG.com: Great to chat with you all, again! How have things been going since releasing the new Reaper class? How have people responded?
Patrick Sun: Hello again! Things have been going great! Our players have eagerly adopted the reaper and we’ve seen many players even switch their main class to it. Everyone is really enjoying the new mechanics it brings, both in terms of solo play and in groups.
MMORPG.com: But you’re ready to talk about the next batch of new content… what’s “Wounded World” all about, from a lore perspective?
Patrick Sun: Long before the Age of Mortals, the gods sundered the continents and created the Great Rift within the bodies of the sleeping titans, Arun and Shara. The arrival of mortals has not been kind to the titans. Centuries of war and dangerous noctenium have both weakened the titans. Now, explorers within the Great Rift are just discovering how bad the damage is.
MMORPG.com: What sort of things will players be doing with the WW patch?
Patrick Sun: In addition to the 4 new dungeons, we also have a whole new tier of weapons and armor coming out to complement them. The new gear can be best summed up as: bigger, better, stronger, faster. New crafting tiers have also been added, allowing you to craft up to the new tier of gear as well. In addition, we’ve made a lot of changes to the battlegrounds and nexus system.
MMORPG.com: What about the solo content? This isn’t a new zone or anything, so what’s in it for players? Is it repeatable?
Patrick Sun: The story behind Ghillieglade is that a gigantic ancient ghilliedhu named Banyakas has been corrupted. His attacks include slamming branches, summoning other ghilliedhus, and spraying fire all over the place. On the way to Banyakas, you have the option of rescuing one or two friendly BAMs that have been endangered by Banyakas. You can choose not to rescue the BAM’s, but you may face the consequences of that later in the final fight. As a reward for defeating it, players will get a treasure box, a Rubra token, and more.

MMORPG.com: There are four new dungeons, can you tell us what they are?

- Lakan’s Prison
- Ghillieglade
- The Abscess
- Rift’s Edge
MMORPG.com: Let’s talk about the Abcess. Can you tell us what we’ll find in there? Sounds… unpleasant.
Patrick Sun: Players have been clamoring for a new dungeon to challenge them, and now one approaches in the form of Abscess Hard Mode, a seven player surgical strike mission. The name itself is very fitting for all the BAMs you’ll see inside of it, as most of them probably won’t win a beauty pageant anytime soon. Krakatox is the final boss you’ll face, which is best described as a monstrous infection. The rewards will range from etching designs, brooches, belts, to the Krakatox bone which will yield you one of the new Archetype weapons as a reward.

MMORPG.com: Finally, what’s all this noise about a ten player instance? Are there any details you can share about this one?
Patrick Sun: The Rift’s Edge is the ten player instance, featuring Koleogg, a giant stag beetle with electrical effects. Koleogg has been placed on the cliff edges to guard a legendary floating stone of power. The instance is one of the lengthier ones, taking you through a village of lizard-like beings called the guwangi, to an undead botanical monster that will most certainly lead to defeat if you aren’t paying attention. Finally you’ll face off against Koleogg, whose electrical blasts are not to be trifled with.
