This week, Darren Bridle provides the questions for our 11th bi-weekly Q&A

No less than four SOE devs take the time to answer Darren's queries:

Akil Hooper, Design Supervisor - Echoes of Faydwer
Ben Skelly, Mechanics Designer - Tradeskills
Caroline Kingwell, Mechanics Designer - Items
Jared Sweatt, Mechanics Designer – Spells and Gameplay

MMORPG.com: What kind of racial traits can we look forward to with the Fae race?
Jared Sweatt:

Slow-fall, movement speed increase, power increase, and Fae Fire are the most likely candidates.

MMORPG.com: Since there is no new level cap for adventuring or tradeskilling, will we see upgrades in Armor and weapons from Xegonite?
Ben Skelly:

We’re probably not going to be seeing any major changes to what we currently have for Xegonite weapons/armor. What we will be seeing in the future is increasing their potential through the adornment system.

The adornment system will allow for further enhancements to these items.

MMORPG.com: How do spells work on Faydark, the same as KoS/DoF? Do we get all new spells for level 70's?
Jared Sweatt:

Since the level cap remains in place, there aren’t any new spell upgrades to existing spells in EoF. There will be new abilities granted through both subclass achievements and the deity system.

MMORPG.com: The raid content on Faydark, how does it flow progressionally? How does it compare to DoF or KoS?
Akil Hooper:

There will be raids in EoF that are more difficult than anything that has been seen so far. There will also be a few raids that are easier. Not all of the raids in the expansion are geared toward level 70 players in top end gear, but those who are will find their fair share of new challenges.

MMORPG.com: With the raid drops in Faydark to upgrade the drops in KoS, will they be in-line with upgrades from DoF to KoS or a slighly different focus?
Caroline Kingwell:

There was a 10 level increase for players and NPCs from DoF to KoS, so the items grew in line with that. With cloaks, adornments, and item sets, the upgrades will have a different focus, and the growth will not be quite as steep, but growth will definitely be present.

MMORPG.com: Will raids drop special recipes or rares for the new adornment system?
Ben Skelly:

The materials used to make adornments will be gained through the Transmuting feature we’re adding to the game. By breaking down items to their base components, players will be able to use these components to make adornments. Depending on the rarity and level of the item you'll gain different components. Breaking down a rarer item will allow you to make the better adornments.

MMORPG.com: How many more AP's total will be added?
Jared Sweatt:

The achievement cap will increase to 100. A maximum of 50 points each can be spent in either Class or Subclass achievements
