Heroes of the Storm players will be able to take part in the annual Winter Veil holiday celebration. Beginning on December 14th and running through January 3rd, the event offers players a chance to win a permanent Treasure Goblin Mount for playing twenty-five games. Special items will also be available for sale in the in-game store.

Now former Heroes of the Storm Game Director Dustin Browder has turned the reins over to Alan Dabiri, a 20-year Blizzard employee. Browder has been with the HotS team since 2013 but has moved on due to an "exciting chance to work on other projects" at Blizzard.
The Heroes of the Storm PTR has been updated with the forthcoming patch that will see Ragnaros enter the Nexus. Ragnaros was announced during last month's Blizzcon 2016. In addition to Raggy, players will also get a first look at this year's Winter Veil celebration, Ranked play Season 3 updates and the updated Haunted Mines.
During Blizzcon, the Heroes of the Storm team revealed that more statistical data would be presented to the players in a forthcoming update. As of yesterday the post-game performance notification system has been released into HotS.

During last weekend's Blizzcon 2016, the Heroes of the Storm team revealed the next two heroes set to enter the Nexus: Varian Wrynn and Ragnaros, both from World of Warcraft. In a new video today, Blizzard shows off both of the new heroes, their skills and several of the skins to which they will have access. In addition, Muradin, Malfurion, Lunara, and Nazeebo have new skins with special themed abilities to go with them plus a pair of new mounts.
Warcraft 3's Samuro the Blademaster is heading into Heroes of the Storm in the near future. Considered a front line fighter, Samuro is tailor-made for hunting down and slaying other Heroes due to his 25% passive movement speed. He can also create clones, can move in stealth and blenderize opponents with whirlwind.
The Heroes of the Storm site has been updated with a new developer blog post to detail a new arena game mode coming by the end of October. Heroes Brawl places players on unique "surreal" maps with custom (and slightly twisted) rulesets.
Overwatch powerhouse Zarya will be heading into the Nexus soon and Blizzard wants to shine the spotlight on her abilities and how she will affect the Heroes of the Storm game field. Devs will also be taking part in a special stream event on Wednesday, September 28th that will focus on Zarya gameplay. The event will take place at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern in the HotS Twitch channel.
The Heroes of the Storm PTR has been updated with the latest build that includes a new hero, Zarya from Overwatch as well as a new Starcraft-themed battleground called Warhead Junction. Chen and Nazeebo have been spiffed up both visually and in Talent overhauls. Other characters have had a bit of fine-tuning applied as well.
Heroes of the Storm has been updated with the Machines of War patch that brings a distinctively Starcraft feel into the game. In addition, a new hero, Alarak, has been added to the roster.
