Kel'Thuzad Arrives on PTR Along with New Skins & More - Heroes of the Storm - MMORPG.com

The Heroes of the Storm PTR has been updated with a new patch that brings Kel'Thuzad, the game's next hero, into the Nexus. The current patch will be viable through September 4th after which we can presume that Kel'Thuzad and other features will be enabled in the live game.

Once the update goes live, Kel'Thuzad will be live in HotS as well as the following:

  • Obey the Call event through September 25th -- players can earn a number of rewards by performing several tasks such as playing Kel'Thuzad to earn a Ghoul portrait or taking down 60 heroes for a Necromancer Portrait and Blight Spray
  • Ranked Season 3 will begin
  • Several heroes have had abilities updated graphically for "visual clarity"
  • Jaina, Leoric and Lt. Morales have updated Talent art
  • UI improvements have been made with specific regard to Quest Systems
  • Ranked Battlegrounds added for Season 3: Infernal Shrines, Tomb of the Spider Queen
  • Ranked Battlegrounds removed for Season 3: Towers of Doom, Warhead Junction and Garden of Terror
  • Chromie, Leoric, Lt. Morales and Jaina have had various tweaks and adjustments to abilities
  • New bundles have been added including packages for Jaina, Kel'Thuzad, Sonya, Zagara
  • New skins for most heroes
  • New mounts for Season 2 players
  • bug fixes

Check out the full update notes on the Heroes of the Storm site.
