Genji's Abilities Showcased in Reveal Trailer

The Latin American Heroes of the Storm YouTube channel has been updated with a new video that shines the spotlight on Overwatch's Genji, the next hero heading into the Nexus. The Heroes of the Storm team is preparing to unleash the "2.0" version of the game and what better way to celebrate such a momentous event than by giving away free stuff? In this case, players can score TWENTY HotS Heroes just by logging in. Heroes are grouped together in any one of four bundles, each with a theme attached. The event will begin on April 25th and run through May 22nd. Once in game, you'll receive 100 gems, enough to purchase one of the bundles.

The Heroes of the Storm PTR will be updated later today to bring the newest hero and map to the Nexus. Overwatch's Genji will be playable on PTR as well as the Hanamura map with its new game play mechanic.

Overwatch's Genji and the Hanamura Map Coming Soon

The fourth Overwatch character is coming to Heroes of the Storm as well as one of its original maps. In addition, his ultimate will see him use his katana to slice and dice the enemy.

Diablo 2’s Javazon is Coming to the Nexus

Heroes of the Storm is gearing up for its prolific Heroes 2.0 progression and rewards overhaul, but that’s not the only thing that’s coming in the next patch. Put your nostalgia hats on, because the MOBA’s next hero is slapping an old Diablo 2 classic straight into the Nexus. If you ever played a Javazon, then you’d better get ready for Cassia.

A Sneak Peek At What 2.0 Brings to the Nexus

This week I had the opportunity to visit the Heroes of the Storm Spring Summit to get a sneak peak of what Blizzard has in store for the MOBA, and it turns out they’re planning a whole lot. So much so that they’re even touting this as the beginning of “Heroes 2.0”. So what does this entail? Let’s dive in.

Starcraft's Probius Named as Next Nexus Hero

The next hero heading into the Heroes of the Storm Nexus is an unlikely one. Hailing from the Starcraft universe, "Probius" is, as the name implies, a literal probe. He is a ranged specialist that uses Pylons and Photon Cannons to take out enemies at range.

Several Heroes Have Stuns / Roots Reduced

As part of the monthly update, several Heroes of the Storm characters have had adjustments made to abilities, most particularly those with long-duration stuns or roots.
