Software
When it comes to software, the E2752She tries to deliver more than its competitors. One of the most interesting pack-ins is the Screen+ software which splits your desktop into four native work areas. Pull a program into one of these areas and it will automatically resize and “maximize” for that work area. This would be a boon to multi-tasking if only it supported more programs. At the moment, the only software which reliably took advantage of Screen+ was Windows explorer and Internet Explorer. No games, no Open Office, no Steam. Your mileage may vary.
Elsewhere on the install disc are the official drivers, user manual, e-Saver, and i-Menu applications. While the manual and drivers are welcome, e-Saver and i-Menu are both needless installs that mimic Windows' power options and the monitor's built-in menu respectively.
Conclusions
Even with the tweaks needed to get the most out its picture, and the errant scan lines, make no mistake: the E2752She is a solid choice for gamers on a budget. These issues, though we wish didn't exist at all, fade into the background after a day or so of use. With its lush, beautiful screen, built in headphone jack and simultaneous inputs, AOC has delivered a multipurpose monitor that easily draws you into the experience. Gamers wanting only the best are advised to look elsewhere, but for those of us who want a quality product without breaking the bank, the E2752She has you covered.
