You may never have thought that you would specifically want something under your chair to protect your floor, or maybe you have. I know that in the past I felt that having a carpet underneath my chair would be a great way to protect my hardwood. Then you have that pesky problem of the carpet bunching up in a wave shape and pulling with the chair as you roll. This isn’t the way it is supposed to be. Florpad enter stage left. Florpad has come up with a solid product in its floor mat product. Let’s go over it a little bit more in depth.
When it comes to preventing wood damage a carpet or mat is always the best alternative to having to sand and stain your floors. Don’t worry about that anymore. Florpad has made a product worthy of going under anyone’s chair or gaming chair. How reliable is the material? It is made of the same advanced matrix cloth weaving surface that is used by combat divers. It is water repellent and very sturdy stuff. In terms of how good it is I will tell you this, I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it still has no imprints from the wheels in it. Within two weeks of putting my gaming chair on a carpet material, there were imprints all over. You are able to glide smoothly across the material without any worries. This is awesome in terms of how well it holds up. The best part about having a mat like this is the noise canceling that it does. The material makes it so there is literally no noise from wheels hitting wood in any manner.
We mentioned that the Florpad mat is water repellent. I can tell you for a fact that it is the absolute truth. I tested this by taking the very last drops of water in my water bottle and tipped it right over onto the Stealth Zone mat that I am using. The water beaded right up and would’ve rolled off if I had pulled the mat up. So right now we are looking at two for two in terms of the promises that were made about the quality of this product. The product is also able to be washed in your washing machine without any problems up to a temperature of 30°C. This takes cleaning them right off the table because that is so simple. I have even just taken a broom to mine and everything that is there has come right off. I have several pets and so there is always pet hair.
The last feature that we were promised is the anti-slip nature of the floor mat. Well, Florpad had some issues with this particular promise, in the beginning, however, after researching different materials they finally came up with SupaGrip®. This technology allows the mat to sit firmly in place without any movement whatsoever. I have put a lot of gaming hours and moving in my chair to prove that this promise was also fulfilled.
The last thing I will tell you about is the wide variety of colors and affiliations Florpad has for its floor mat. There are blues, and reds, greens, and even pro gamer designs. They are all very vibrant colors and give you the ability to choose the best option for your color setup. I know I chose the Stealth Zone because it matches my black and blue desks and chair as well as the RGB blue in my gaming desktop.
My time with Florpad’s Stealth Zone floor mat has been great. It has reduced the amount of noise on my floor and it has given me something sturdy and reliable to set my throne on top of. You can roll around it with the greatest of ease and have no issues with bunching up of the material. Even with winter approaching full blow it has not affected the floor mat in a bad way. I will even go as far as saying that this is the best floor mat/carpet I have ever owned. Florpad has a winner here and as Lucious Fox once said, “Yes Mr. Wayne, it comes in black.”
