The first ALLDOCUBE tablet I reviewed, the ALLDOCUBE M8, I did so with some apprehension. Now I am all in on the quality of these tablets. I have been able to test games, movies, and even television shows from downloadable applications on the play store, and I don’t think you will be disappointed with the ALLDOCUBE M5X tablet.

When you pick up a tablet, what is the first thing that most of us do? Most likely visit your favorite social media sites, check your email, and load up your favorite mobile games and apps. That’s how I approached this review and, by and large, it did very well.

I was able to test a few different games with this new tablet. The first application I tested was Dragon Ball Dokkan Battle, which is simple and easy to run, comparatively speaking. It runs really well on my Galaxy S8+. Oddly, it was very laggy on the M5X which shows a bit of inconsistency that I’m not able to put my finger on, especially since other games played so well.

The next game I tested was Sonic 2, the arcade version. This game was a complete 180 from Dragon Ball and played very smoothly and I didn’t have a single problem playing it. The last game I tried was PUBG Mobile.

PUBG mobile automatically loaded me into the lowest graphics settings, which for testing is just fine for me. I loaded into the first match and was met with a little bit of lag to start with but quickly smoothed out and continued into the game. Even on low settings, the graphics were still pretty clear and nothing seemed pixelated or out of place.

The M5X, then, is good for some light gaming though I wouldn’t consider it a gaming tablet. As I dabbled here and there, it really varied title to title.

The 10.1-inch display on the M5X is truly amazing. I used the tablet to watch shows like Legends of Tomorrow on the CW app, and I also used it to stream Netflix movies and shows. The thing that surprised me the most is that these played better on the tablet than they did on my phone. My phone screen looks pretty good when watching shows on it, but the tablet just took it and said “hold my beer” with its 2560x1600 (2K) resolution.

Even though the graphics are so high level on the tablet the power consumption is pretty low. I watched two hours of Legends of Tomorrow on the tablet, and it went from full charge to around eighty percent, so I feel this was pretty good. Tie that together with the WiFi and 4G LTE connection that this device employs, and you have a device that gives you the ability to play online games, as well as stream live on a fairly large screen, though it network support will depend on your carrier.

Battery longevity is key when using any kind of mobile device. With the M5X you get all-day battery life with the 6600mAh battery pack. This tablet adjusts your core frequencies automatically to make sure you have the best energy performance for your tablet. This feature alone will let you continue playing for hours on whatever game or watching whatever movie you want to from your 64GB drive.

This size equates to 40 high definition movies or around 14,000 music files. That is a lot of storage space. I don’t know about the rest of you reading this review but I like to download files onto my computer and have several 3TB drives full of work and games, so more space is better for a tablet.

What do you need to enjoy these games, movies, and music files? Of course, speakers. The M5X comes equipped with dual speakers that work independently from each other to offer better quality sound without any of the crackling noises you hear on shoddy tablets. I have enjoyed television shows, movies, and games without any issues, and the speakers are quite loud. They are very good quality for the speakers in use.

Conclusion

The ALLDOCUBE M5X Robust Helio X27 Dual 4G-LTE Tablet has a lot of good features behind it, and it provides you with a new way to handle everyday tasks as well as other entertainment features you want to put into it. Apart from the crystal clear picture, the amazing audio, the storage size, this really is a tablet that you may want to buy for yourself instead of some of the mainstream tablets out there today.

Pros

  • Crystal clear screen
  • Great storage space
  • 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Some Android games run slow
  • A little big for some things without attaching peripherals
