Unlimited Gathering Tools Coming to a Wardrobe Near You

Unlimited Gathering Tools Coming to a Wardrobe Near You - Guild Wars 2 - MMORPG.com

The Guild Wars 2 site has been updated with a new post to detail some of the upcoming quality of life changes coming to unlimited gathering tools. You may recall that unlimited gathering tools can be purchased from the Gem Store and include things like the Watchwork Mining Pick or the Lucky Dog Harvesting Tool. Under the new system, you'll be able to change their appearance using transmutation charges in the same manner as you do with your armor, weapons and backpack.

In addition to the small bonuses that players get for using unlimited tools, new glyphs will become available that will provide even more. These include Glyph of the Tailor that adds a 33% chance to receive additional scraps or Glyph of Flight that increases movement speed for 5 seconds after gathering.

Now you can customize your gathering tools with glyphs, a new type of upgrade component. If you want your Lucky Dog Harvesting Tool to fetch scraps of leather instead of trophies, swap its Glyph of the Scavenger for a Glyph of the Leatherworker.

Most tools in the game will now have an upgrade slot, and you can swap glyphs in and out freely without using an upgrade extractor. Glyphs applied to limited-use tools will go back into your inventory after you consume the final gathering charge.

Read more of the details by visiting the Guild Wars 2 site.
