ArenaNet has officially unveiled the Thief as the sixth Guild Wars 2 profession today. ArenaNet has also announced that the Thief will be playable by all at PAX East next week.
The Thief is Guild Wars 2's stealth-class and features the ability to dish out tons of damage in single-combat and even steal the weapons of their foes in order to turn them against them. While the Thief features low armor and health, he makes up for it with high mobility.
Thief skills include stealth, shadow stepping, traps, and dual skills. Thieves can also choose from a variety of weapons such as swords, daggers, a shortbow, and even pistols.
Thief skills work off a new mechanic called Initiative. Instead of recharge time skills will cost a certain amount of Initiative points, this mechanic allows Thieves the ability to use their skills back to back.
