After a slight delay due to yesterday's blizzard in Seattle, ArenaNet has announced that Guild Wars 2 has been updated with Living World Season 3, Episode 4: Head of the Snake.
The update continues the game's active story, this time with the White Mantle taking center stage and a crisis in the capital as players are summoned to the side of Queen Jenna to assist in rooting out insiders and their corrupting influence in the capital city.
In addition, players can look forward to the Bastion of the Penitent raid wing, the final wing of the Bloodstone Fen. Though winding up the raid itself, the story elements presented to players will tease potentially new story lines with the revelation of a mysterious portal that Priory Scholar Glenna has gone though to discover what lies beyond.
To celebrate today's launch, the Heart of Thorns expansion is 50% through February 8th. The base game comes packaged with it for free as well as a free character boost to level 80.
