Guild Wars 2 Hands Out Free Anniversary Gifts, Plus Play Icebrood Saga Episodes Free

As a mark of the 15th anniversary of Guild Wars, the team is handing out free gifts to Guild Wars 2 players.

Until May 19, you can grab Prince Rurik’s Vanguard Cape for free in the Gem Store. Additionally, Black Lion Trading Goods will offer free items every week. Keep in mind, each of these items will be available for one week from their start date:

  • Friday, May 1: 5 Transmutation Charges
  • Tuesday, May 5: Experience Booster
  • Friday, May 8: 2 Black Lion Statuettes
  • Tuesday, May 12: Toy Mini Egg
  • Friday, May 15: Communal Boost Bonfire

Additionally, you can check out the story of the Icebrood Saga for free for the next three weeks. Here’s how each episode breaks down and when you can play them for free:

  • April 28–May 4: “Prologue: Bound by Blood“
  • May 5–May 11: “Whisper in the Dark“
  • May 12–May 18: “Shadow in the Ice“

All you have to do to play these is simply log onto the game during the dates listed above and you should be all set. Additionally, buffs are abound in the form of 30% Magic Find, 50% XP from all sources, 30% WvW Reward Track progress, and 30% PvP Reward Track progress. Finally, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire will host a 50% off sale until May 8 for Standard and Deluxe Editions.
