The February 2020 competitive update for Guild Wars 2 is now live.
Dubbed Call to Glory, this update includes Swiss tournaments, mini seasons, a new Warlord’s armor set, new Guildrider Warclaw Skin reward track, and extensive balance changes for each profession.
You’ll be able to access WvW after you’ve hit level 60 if you’re playing with a free account. You’ll be able to enter WvW or PvP simply by clicking on the icons at the top menu bar. In PvP, the team provides some useful tips starting out,
“The PvP lobby, Heart of the Mists, features useful services like a PvP Instructor NPC, training dummies, bank and trading post access, and vendors. Other players can’t attack you here, so it’s a good place to get comfortable before your first match.”
For WvW, these take place over larger battlefields. You’ll spawn in a friendly base where you cannot be attacked. However, once you leave that base, be on your guard. The team here suggests finding a group and finding a commander to further explore.
