The Japanese launch for Bandai Namco's long-awaited action MMORPG, Blue Protocol, will finally take place on June 14th. While anticipation is already at an all-time high, there's another reason to cheer - players can now preload the game onto their systems, and that includes YOU!  If you're not willing to wait for the western release, slated for 2024, you can jump into the game when it launches in Japan, and see what all the fuss is about. Preloading the game allows fans to be all set for an immediate dive into this vibrant world, as soon as the game goes live.

If you’re a little spotty on your Japanese but you still want to jump into the game, we'll unravel the process of preloading Blue Protocol, ensuring you're prepared to embark on this epic journey the moment it arrives. Let's dive right in!

If you’re looking forward to playing Blue Protocol you will have your chance to jump into this Free to Play anime MMORPG June 14th. The first thing you’ll need to do, before you’re able to download the game is to head on over to their official site, and sign up for an account. You can easily sign up for an account at the link here, and choose your preferred method to create and account.

Setting up your account is easy to do, you just need to use an email address (use a new one if you want) and then put in your birth date. When it asks you for the Region, check to make sure that you select Asia, and the country as Japan for good measure. Agree to the terms of service and then they’ll ask you to authenticate your email. Once you enter the authentication code your account is setup. We can then move on to the next step.

Next, you’ll want to download the BANDAI NAMCO Launcher. You can find the launcher link here, which saves you from having to jump through several links on their official site, and accept the ToS as the link shows above. But if you want to run through it all on your own for the fun of it, you can read through their play guide, and follow the several links to find the launcher through there.

Once you’ve downloaded the BANDAI NAMCO Launcher, you’ll install it. The install is straight forward, but  if  you’re like me, you probably don’t want the installer to start when you turn your PC on, so uncheck the box shown below to stop the installer from opening on startup.

Then click install. The install doesn’t take that long. Now, after it opens, you’ll log in with your credentials that you’ve already setup. You may have to put in another authentication code, so keep your email open to receive it.

Once you’ve authenticated your login on the launcher, you will then click Close on the launcher version update screen by clicking the big orange button.

On the left hand side of the launcher you’ll see Blue Protocol at the top. Simply click it, and then on the bottom right, there will be an orange button to download the game.

Once clicked, it will ask you to choose where to install the game. You will also see a little unchecked box, this box basically states to auto-update the game. You’ll want to make sure this auto-update box is checked, so that any new updates that roll out before the game goes live, will be automatically downloaded.

After checking that box, click on the big orange button and the game will start to download. The download shouldn’t take all that long, and once you’re done, you should see a new big orange button where the download button was, that says “Start Game”.

Just for fun, if you click it, you’ll see a new pop up box that will tell you that the servers are down currently for maintenance -- unless of course, you're clicking on it after the servers are up on the 14th.

If you’ve reached this point, then you’re done! The game has been preloaded, and all you need to do now is wait until June 14th, when the Japanese servers go live! Will you be jumping into Blue Protocol on the Japanese servers? Let us know in the comments.
