MMORPG Halloween Event Round-Up 2024: Catch Up On All The Halloween Events Happening In Your Favorite MMO

We’re coming around to that time of year again: Holiday events are coming to our favorite MMOs! To kick things off, we have our annual roundup of Halloween events, where you get to take part in some festive Halloween events to earn some fantastic treats for your character. This year. many of the returning events have some new rewards in store, while some of the newest MMOs are celebrating for the first time!

Aion Classic: Raise the Dead Oct 15 - Nov 5

Embark on a thrilling adventure with your Little Devil companion during the Raise the Dead event. Feed it Sweet Candy Canes and Sweet Cookies to earn sweet rewards.

Aion Live: Ghost of the Pumpkin King Oct 15 - Nov 5

The Pumpkin King’s Haunt is back for another year. Step 1: Collect Candy Blasts. Step 2: Kill the Pumpkin King. Step 3: Claim your rewards.

Albion Online: Harvest Challenge Now - Oct 31

Reap what you sow through the end of the month with Albion Online’s Harvest Challenge. Earn Challenge Points to unlock the Spectral Bat, Harvest Challenge Avatar Ring, and Harvest Challenge Chests filled with six seasonal furniture items.

Black Desert: Chilling Shadow Oct 17 - Nov 7

Hunt down the Spook in the “Find the Real Spook” quest, or take on Volkras during this event to earn some awesome rewards

Champions Online: The Blood Moon Rises Oct 10 - ?

The Blood Moon Rises event is back for another year. Usually running for four weeks, there are six cosmetic items up for grabs during Week 1. Be sure to check the CO news channel to find out what rewards are offered the rest of the event.

City of Heroes Homecoming: Halloween 2024 Oct 1 - Nov 5

Each year, the fallen fae of teh Unseelie Court attempt to invade our world just in time for Halloween. This gives you a chance to unlock badges, go trick or treating, and take part in Giant Monster Hunts, and more!

DC Universe: The Witching Hour Oct 8 - ?

Anyone level 25 or higher can take part in The Witching Hour event. It looks like the event will be the same as last year, but three new feats have been added: Sour Patch Kid, On the Hush, and Haunted House 9: House of Horrors.

Dungeons and Dragons Online: The Night Revels Oct 2 - Nov 3

It may be the same Night Revels as years past, but the event features all new rewards, including a Violet Harvest Hunter’s Hat, Violet Defender of the Harvest cosmetic armor, Violet Cloak of the Autumnal Feathers, Ghostly Glamered Weapon Aura, Jackorb cosmetic orb weapon, and the Reaper’s Steed (Green) mount certificate.

Elder Scrolls Online: Witches Festival Oct 24 - Nov 6

We don’t have the details on this year’s Witches Festival, but it is confirmed to run from October 24th through November 6th. Full details should be coming soon, so watch the official ESO website for the announcement.

Eve Online: Crimson Harvest Oct 3 - Nov 5

Haunted skies and brutal battles await you in Eve Online’s annual Crimson Harvest event. Join the event on the side of the Blood Raider Covenant or the Order of Tetrimon, then search out horrific combat and hacking sites throughout highsec, lowsec, nullsec, and wormhole systems to earn some awesome rewards.

Everquest: Nights of the Dead Oct 10 - Nov 5

Another old event with a ton of activities to enjoy. 2024 brings new housing items, familiar metmorphs, and a new Illusion: the Visage of a Sarnak Skeleton.

Everquest 2: Halloween Events Oct 11 - Nov 4

Whether you play on the Live Server or hang out on a TLE Server, there are enough events to keep you trick or treating throughout the event. 

Final Fantasy XIV: All Saints’ Wake Oct 18 - Nov 4

Kick off All Saints’ Wake by visiting the Pumpkin-headed Apparition in Old Gridania for your chance to earn the Night of Devilry armor set and Flying Pumpkin tabletop.

Guild Wars 2: Shadow of the Mad King Oct 15 - Nov 5

The Shadow of the Mad King has fallen upon Tyria once again. Along with the goodies from previous events, 2024 has new achievements, skins and equipment, several new recipes, and a bag-full of new decorations

Lost Ark - The Kazeros Raid

It’s not a Halloween event per se, but players will be getting a new treat with the release of the 2-gate Kazeros Raid on October 23. The 8-person raid will be open to players with Item Level 1660 for Normal Mode and 1680 for Hard Mode.

Lord of the Rings Online: Harvestmath Festival Oct 10 - Nov 3

One of the older events out there, the Harvestmath Festival features dozens of quests. New rewards for 2024 include the Boots of Masked Wisdom, Wisdom’s Mask, Robe of the Masked Wisdom, Tome of the Ghostly Cat, Tome of the Windfell Owl, Harvest Pumpkin Planter, Garments of Masked Wisdom, and Small Grove of Fiery Fall Trees, all available for Festival Tokens earned from questing. You can also purchase a Guise of Galadriel, a Guise of Battle-ready Galadriel, and a Guise of a Goblin Corsair for Mithril.

MapleStory: Midnight Carnival Oct 9 - Nov 19

Enjoy tons of events while the Night Troupe is back for another Midnight Carnival.

Neverwinter: Masquerade of Liars

There’s still no word on when the annual Masquerade of Liars will begin, so keep an eye on the official Neverwinter website for any news on the event.

New World Aeternum: Nightveil Hallow

Amazon Games is busy with the launch of New World Aeternum (check out our Review in Progress), so it’s understandable they haven’t made any announcement about this year’s Nightveil Hallow event. Keep an eye out on MMORPG.com for any announcements.

Palia: Fall’s Flourishes

Realm of the Mad God Exalt: Halloween 2024

Hordes of zombies and a witch are invading this bullet-hell MMO. Take them on to earn more loot than you can carry.

Runescape: Harvest Hollow Oct 14 - Nov 4

Harvest Hollow is the all-new seasonal hub for Runescape’s 2024 event. There’s a new quest, Field of Screams, that will grant you The Horsemen Uniform and other goodies upon completion. Other activities include a weekly clan competition, bonus skilling activities, grave robbing archaeology, and wealth redistribution (thieving).

Star Citizen: Day of the Vara

Day of the Vara is a UEE holiday dedicated to remembering lost loved ones and facing the fears of space travel. It’s also a way to promote the Ship of the Month, the Drake Cutter, and other subscriber rewards.

Tarisland: Blight Dragon Elegy

October 22 marks the beginning of Season 1, Blight Dragon Elegy. Like Lost Ark, this is more of a treat for players than an actual Halloween event. Still, you can spend the holiday running through the new dungeons and raid. Halloween event or not, fighting a haunted mirror

T&L’s Autumn Roadmap mentioned a Halloween event. Bring it on already!

Warframe: Nights of Naberus Oct 2 - Nov 1

Don your favorite Warframe costume and earn new rewards, like the Ignis Day of the Dead Skin and Wild Hunt Decoration. 

World of Warcraft: Hallow’s End Oct 18 - Nov 1

Possibly the biggest MMO Halloween event out there (LotRO may give it a run for its money), You’ll want to head to Wowhead or Wowpedia for detailed information.

You don’t have to dive into your favorite MMO to find a Halloween event. There’s plenty of small group co-op and single-player games having an event this year as well.
