The holidays are always a special time for MMORPGs, and we’re closing in on the scariest night of the year. We’ve put together a list of MMOs that have added some spooky delights that will haunt you for the next few weeks. It looks like many of the long-running MMOs are just rehashing old events with some new rewards, so we also have a collection of Side Quests that you can play alone or with a group of friends. Events are still being announced daily, so let us know of any events we may have missed in the comments below.
Aion - Garden of Horrors
Running October 11th through November 8th, the Garden of Horrors is back once again. Greenhaven Garden can be accessed daily using the portal in Gelkmaros Fortress Inggison Illusion Fortress. If one entry per day isn’t enough, additional entries can be purchased from the Aion Shop. Normal difficulty is open to anyone level 80 or higher, with a hard difficulty option giving double the Pumpkins (the event currency). Rewards include the Halloween Pumpkin Weapon Selection Box and Terrifying Night Costume items.
Aion Classic - Trick or Treat in Atreia
This Halloween - October 18th through November 8th to be precise - you can help the Pumpkin Kings hunt for sweets to get a Halloween Pet and other rewards. To begin your quest, find Minis on the Exalted Path in Sanctum or Tali at the Vifrost Bridge in Pandaemonium
Albion Online - Harvest Challenge
The Harvest Challenge is back! Earn challenge points until the end of the month by gathering, fishing, farming, and killing monsters. Rewards include the Spectral Bat and the Avatar Ring and additional rewards for reaching weekly point goals.
It’s Harvest Challenge time in Albion Online. Throughout October, earn Challenge Points by gathering, fishing, farming, and killing monsters. Reaching the weekly goal will net you a Harvest Challenge Chest, and reaching the monthly goal will earn you the Spectral Bat mount and Harvest Challenge Avatar Ring.
Archeage and Archeage: Unchained - Hallowtide Festival And Broom Race
Only a few days are left until the Hallowtide Festival leaves Two Crowns and Solis Headlands. Usually running into November, the event is being cut short and will end after maintenance on October 26th. Until then, any character level 10 or higher can complete daily quests in each zone to earn Festival Coins, which can be exchanged for some special treats. The Broom Race on Mirage Isle will be held until November 2nd, giving anyone level 55+ a chance to pick up even more rewards.
Black Desert Online - Spooky Playground
Running October 18th through November 8th, Marni’s Spooky Playground is open and full of special Halloween events.
