Give Solo a Go

Wayfinder draws equally on influences like World of Warcraft and Warframe to create a compelling MMO-style gameplay loop that is designed from the ground up as a cooperative experience. Whether you enjoy playing with friends for some good old-fashioned loot farming, or assisting strangers for a handful of useful Helper Coins, you'll have plenty of social content at your fingertips. But when you just want some time to yourself, you can turn off matchmaking and take things entirely into your own hands. Here's how.

How to Turn Off Matchmaking and Play Solo in Wayfinder

Playing solo isn't a difficult thing to set up in Wayfinder, but it does require you to remember to toggle a setting each time you visit the Gloomsphere.

Once you approach the Gloomsphere, check the upper left corner of the menu for a setting that says "Matchmaking" and press the corresponding button to turn this option off. Again, though, this setting will reset each time you open the Gloomsphere.

Why Should I Turn Off Matchmaking?

By turning off matchmaking, you'll be able to queue up for any expedition or boss of your choosing with an experience balanced for solo play, which will ensure that you can clear the content without additional players – provided you have gear that is appropriate for the content, of course. That also means that you won't have to wait for the matchmaking queue, and you will be able to start playing right away, even if there are no other players queued for the same content.

Just remember that you won't have any teammates to pick you up if you go down, meaning that dying is instant. Since deaths negatively impact your end-of-dungeon bonuses, be sure to take things slow and safe to avoid any unnecessary issues.
