There are many different tabs to skim through when you first begin your journey in Palworld, but easily, the Technology Tree is the most vital to your playthrough. This is also home to the Ancient Technology tree, which can get you some pretty nifty recipes as you make progress.
In this guide, we will discuss the Ancient Technology Points, where to get them and what they can be spent on within the tree.
Where To Get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld
Scattered about the map within Palworld are several bosses, either within Towers or just roaming about the wilderness. Each time you kill or capture one of these bosses for the very first time, they will give you an Ancient Technology Point. To reiterate, you can only get the point for every first kill or capture, meaning going back the following in-game day to kill or catpure the boss with not yield another point.
Alpha Pal bosses are pretty much everywhere on the map, and you will only be able to see them once you have gotten close to their location on the world map.
You can also get a whopping five Ancient Technology Points for killing the bosses inside of the Towers, such as the Rayne Syndicate Tower you may have completed during the tutorial. These bosses in the towers are a bit more challenging than the average Alpha Pal boss around the map, so be sure to take that into consideration as you make progress and need more of these points.
What Do You Do With Ancient Technology Points in Palworld?
Inside of your Technology Tree, you will notice a purple tab to the right-hand side of each of the Technology trees. By glancing at the recipes available under the Ancient Technology tree, you can see how many Ancient Tech Points you will need to unlock the recipe of choice.
For example, the Grappling Gun requires only one Ancient Technology Point to unlock, while Lil’s Spear requires three. At this point in the game, there are only a few recipes in the Ancient Technology tree, but they are extremely helpful.
The Egg Incubator is purchased with Ancient Technology points, which are needed to breed Pals in order to create some crazy combinations and gather Pals without ever leaving your base. Here is a quick list of every recipe currently available in the Ancient Technology tree in Palworld:
