Few materials in Palworld are easy to come by if you don’t know where to look or what Pals have a good chance of dropping what you need.

Where To Find High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld
High Quality Pal oil is a bit trickier than some of the other materials, since most of the good drop rates come from higher level Pals within the Desert Biome. Don’t worry too much, though; there are a few lower-level Pals that can drop it as well if you’re just starting out.
Woolipop can drop High Quality Pal Oil, as well as the Relaxaurus, and both can be found roaming around the Bamboo Groves. This area is not too high level, but be sure to go prepared just in case things get dicey with the flying Pals that tend to roam the area.
Now, the best mobs to farm for High Quality Pal Oil are going to be found in the Desert area located to the Northeast of the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant fast travel point. This area is home to Digtoise and Dumud, which each drop the oil. Dumud are going to be your best bet, as not only are they easier to catch or kill than the Digtoise, but they have a 100% drop rate compared to the Digtoise who only has a 50% chance it seems.
Since Dumud is a ground element Pal, you will want to bring along a semi-strong Grass element Pal in your party. Grass is best up against Ground, so if you just want to kill the Dumud rather than capturing each one for the High Quality Pal Oil, Grass is the way to go.
What is High Quality Pal Oil Used For?
There are quite a few recipes within Palworld that call for High Quality Pal Oil, but by far the most important one is ammo for weapons.
As you get into the higher levels within your Technology tree, you will notice that most weapons need Polymer to craft their respective ammunition. In order to craft Polymer you will need High Quality Pal Oil. It takes two High Quality Pal Oil in order to begin crafting the Polymer, so stockpiling as much as you can is an absolute must.
