Core Tester Beta Journal - Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising -

The Gods and Heroes official site has been update with volume 8 of their Core Tester Beta Journal series.

Well, there have been many changes since my last. My PC died and that put me out of playing for a couple of weeks. Combat changed shortly before that, and I wanted a few weeks with the new system before I actually wrote anything about it.

In all fairness, I think Beta is progressing nicely. The Dev's not long ago created an update board. The Dev's, who are in charge over their own respective system, get on the boards and update us with what changes he's made for the week. This also gives us a chance to ask that Dev directly about a certain item or system, or let them know about a certain bug that affects the area they are responsible for.

Some of the threads posted deal with the minions, in game items, npc's, game bosses and so on. I know these threads have been a hit with many of the beta testers. Most of us like being kept in the loop and these threads certainly do that.

The minion system has also gotten a bit more complex, not in their use, but in collecting them. Before there were light minions, heavy and mythical, now, heavy is out and the minions themselves are more like gear. As an Example, you now have your Poor or Ordinary minions, Adept minions, Well Wrought minions and a few more levels of quality I have yet to see in game. This will really add a new level to collecting minions. Minions also have different abilities from each other that you might find valuable, and make collecting them more rewarding.
