Gloria Victis Articles
The year 2015 is coming close to an end. It has been a year of incredible amount of changes for the development of Gloria Victis – not only the core systems have been greatly improved but also a lot of new features have been implemented.

As it had been said many times before, one of the fundamental principles of the development of Gloria Victis is to create a living, credible world that offers as much immersive experience as possible. But the term “immersion” does not limit to the NPC guards patrolling the roads and commenting the latest events out loud or to a realistic day and night cycle.
Although still in development, the crafting system in Gloria Victis has reached an impressive level of complexity and authenticity, which were the fundamental goals of its development. However, to make sure that becoming a master craftsman will not be achieved through mindless, tedious repetition of gathering exactly the same materials to craft exactly the same items over and over.
The overhauled Gloria Victis UI will be heading into the game in the next several weeks that will also include a character wipe due to the database structure changes. In addition, the buffs system will also be reworked that will lead to the implementation of alchemic recipes, the heroes system and more.
The Gloria Victis team has deployed the latest game update that brings some significant updates to combat including headshot detection and the ability for players to gain experience in PvP. Additionally, new land has been added that expands the game world.
When we think about the Middle Ages, we usually recall the heroic knights in full-plate armour and epic tournaments, majestic castles and frightening mountain fortresses, gruesome battles and dividing the spoils of war. However, we should also be reminded of the less glorious aspects of such an era: plagues, humans struggling against nature, witchcraft and the birth of alchemy.
Gloria Victis offers various ways to make a living: earning the reputation as an undefeated duelist or a famous crafting master, being an experienced warrior fighting in countless battles or a trader who always have something precious in store.
