Sandstorm Interview

MMORPG.com's Bill Murphy recently spoke with Global Agenda Executive Producer Todd Harris about the upcoming Sandstorm expansion that will make some significant changes to the game.


New Server Added

Hi-Rez Studios has announced that they have set up a new server hardware in Singapore to better server the Pacific Rim community accessing the game. In addition, the Tradewind Territory Zone. which is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 to 12:30 GMT (18:30 to 20:30 in Singapore), will be hosted on the new server hardware. This latest change also marks the switch to a cloud-based computing architecture for Hi-Rez Studios, which will allow the developer to seamlessly add new servers.

Hi-Rez Studios has announced that Global Agenda is now available on Steam for $39.99. From what we understand this is not a sale, but a permanent price reduction.


Version 1.2 Now Live; 1.3 Details

Hi-Rez Studios will be releasing update 1.2 for Global Agenda today, which includes city chat, 4v4 Arena queues, Theft missions, a No Facility mission type, as well as a number of tweaks and adjustments to game rules and various maps.

GameSpot Review Taken Down

It's time for yet another GameSpot review fiasco! This time, it appears that the reviewer assigned to Global Agenda produced a review after only six hours of gameplay, which was discovered by the Global Agenda community following the publishing of a not-so-glowing review. GameSpot's Justin Calvert confirmed gamers' suspicions and apologized on the official Global Agenda forums and stating that the review has been taken down with a new one to be forthcoming.


No Eyefinity For You!

Kyle Bennett of long-running tech site [H]ardOCP really loves ATi's new Eyefinity technology, which allows users to link up three monitors for some super high resolution gaming. Unfortunately, as it would turn out, Hi-Rez Studios' Global Agenda isn't so "hi-rez" after all. In an editorial written for [H]ardOCP, Mr. Bennett discusses the fact that Hi-Rez Studios has chosen to lock out users from making use of a multi-monitor setup in Global Agenda.
