New Weekly Update Reveals Progress to Launch

This Week in Gigantic is a new weekly post that will be published on the game's official site. In this inaugural post, readers are informed that the final minor update to the open beta is set for deployment this week, not including, of course, hotfixes and other minor updates. By releasing the patch, Motiga devs will be freer to work on progressing the development of Gigantic towards its eventual release, something the team isn't quite ready to reveal yet.


Forthcoming Changes to Ease the New Player Experience

The latest state of the game letter has been published on the Gigantic site. It begins with thanking players for their input and acknowledging that feedback has been integral to the course of the game direction since beta began. From there, the discussion moves to the overall difficulty of the game for new players and how Motiga plans to address it.


Eternal Dawn Update to Launch February 23rd

Gigantic will be undergoing yet another big update with Eternal Dawn on February 23rd. A new hero, Zandora, will be entering the game alongside new skins, Eternal Light weapon skins, and the competitive leaderboard. Over the next few weeks after that, players can look forward to new skins and a new creature as well.


Exile in the North Update Deployed

Gigantic has received its first major update with today's launch of Exile in the North. The patch brings in a new hero named Pakko, several winter-themed hero and weapon skins and several game play and quality of life improvements. Players can look forward to better rewards, Honor Bonuses "for players who battle short-handed, hero mastery skins and more.


Exile in the North to Begin with Pakko, the Jolly Brute

The Gigantic site has been updated with a brief look at the next hero comig into the game along with the Exile in the North update. Exile in the North will be going live on Thursday, January 19th and will come with Pakko, the "Jolly Brute". Pakko is a "happy-go-lucky" critter that is a melee specialist with a ton of quick moves thanks to high agility.


Fluid, Dynamic, Fast-Paced Combat Explored in Dev Diary

The Gigantic team has sent out the second in a series of video developer diaries to give insight into the creation of the game. The entire team is integral in play-testing the game on a daily basis and to see if what is being worked on is functioning correctly. Open Beta Kicks Off for Win10 & XBox One

Motiga and Perfect World Entertainment have announced that Windows 10 PC player and XBox One players can head in to Gigantic starting today to try out the game. In addition, a new Founder's Pack has been announced that unlocks all sixteen Heroes and four more to be released at a later date, provides special skins and an in-game title. The bundle costs $39.99.


New Hero, The Margrave, Stars in Latest Trailer

Motiga has released a new trailer to shine the spotlight on one of Gigantic's heroes. This time, The Margrave takes center stage, a "blood thirsty behemoth" that lays waste to opponents as an unstoppable tank.


Fast with a Smile & a Gun, Beckett Stars in New Trailer

Motiga has sent out a brand new trailer to introduce Gigantic players and fans to Beckett, a "happy-go-lucky mercenary" who uses machine pistols and a one-shot cannon. You can see Beckett in action by checking out the new trailer.


Open Beta for XB1 & Windows 10 to Start December 8th

Perfect World Entertainment and Motiga have big news for Gigantic fans: The XBox One and Windows 10 versions of the game will enter open beta on December 8th as part of Microsoft's Game Preview Program. Players will be able to experience the MOBA with others in true cross-platform game play.

Updating the Game's UI

A new developer post has been added to the Gigantic site that gives new information about forthcoming changes to the game's UI. Feedback has been gathered from current beta testers in order to make changes to the "Versus" interface, pre- and post-match cinematics, and the post-match rewards screens as well. Further down the road, the front game lobby and skill upgrade interfaces will be getting a face lift too.


Next Closed Beta Event to Kick Off on November 3rd

Motiga has announced that the next round of closed beta testing for Gigantic is scheduled to run from Thursday, November 3rd through Monday, November 7th. As part of the announcement, a developer blog was spotlighted on the game's official site that lays out the large number of changes Guardians have undergone in the preceding year.
