Gatheryn was described by its developers, Mindfuse Games, as an “advanced casual online game, mixing traditional MMO elements with a series of minigames and smaller activities...[called] 'micro-games.'" Delivered with a Victorian Steampunk backdrop, the game was intended for players new to the MMO world and genre vets looking for a change. Gatheryn was intended to be free to play with an item shop and optional subscription, but was cancelled in 2010.
